In 1978, we opened our first Machine Shed Restaurant on the outskirts of Davenport, Iowa. We had just 100 seats, but we started with a powerful commitment. That was a five-word constitution: “Dedicated to the American Farmer.” That dedication meant we worked hard to have a restaurant that wasn’t just ‘farm themed’ but something that farmers could be proud of. Great service, fresh made food and
I started up, and run a birthday group which 9 of us belong to, and each and every month for that particular person's birthday we go someplace different to eat. BOY AM I GLAD WE WENT TO THE MACHINE SHED!!!! Not only was the food DELICIOUS, but the staff was very friendly, outgoing, and we were made to feel right at home once we sat down. If you leave The Machine Shed hungry, you obviously didn't try very hard because not only did we order great tasting appetizers, but the side dishes that come along with the meals are by far the best we have ever had!! We brought in our own birthday desserts, and UNLIKE Thunder Bay Grille down the street, The Machine Shed DIDN'T charge us $25.00 per dessert! We'll be back for sure, you made nine people very happy, satisfied customers for life!
