I am so appalled by the service at Geddes Groomed by Lisa. My dog Blitzen is our baby and he is one of our family members so he should only get the best care and service. We recently moved to the Paw Paw area so I thought since this location was close it would help a local business so we choose to get him groomed at Geddes Groomed. On 01/17/15 Blitzen had an appointment at 9am. When we arrived we were the first customer and she was unlocking the door as we walked in. I explained to the groomer exactly what I want and that was that I wanted to keep his fluff and soft coat but I want him bathed,teeth brushed,ears plucked, only trim his coat and around his feet i would like them cut short because of the snowballs and ice that gets caught in and around his paws. Blitzen was there for 6 hours when I got a call that she is still not finished but please come pick him up and we can schedule another appointment for him to come back so she can finish. I asked her the reasoning it took so long and her response was "i over booked myself". I was the first person there with an appointment at 9am so basically all the other dogs you booked were priority over my appointment so my poor blitz had to wait there for over 6 hours and very little work done on him. She only clipped half of him and he looked spotty because she didnt finish. I tried to be understanding and scheduled an appointment for him to come back on 01/28/15 so she could finish. I dropped him off at 5:45 on 01/28/15 which was after hours so there were no other dogs to be groomed. I received a text from her at 6:20pm stating she thinks she should shave him because he has his second coat coming in and a little matted fur behind his ears. I clearly stated in the text " I do not want him shaved. Keep his fluff and just brush through the mats." her text response was "I understand but the mats will not go away" I repsonsed and said ok just worry about everything else and I will take care of the mats behind his ears." I then got a call at 9:15pm that I can come pick him up but she just can't finish because her hands hurt and it is just getting to late. So I arrive to pick him up and he has a bald spot on the top of his head and looks choppy and stressed! She had started to shave him before she text me. I couldnt believe as a groomer you would just leave a bald spot on the top of his head. She didnt even apologize for not communicating with me that she was going to shave him. The only thing she made very clear was that even though she is not happy with her work she does need to take payment. She should have text me about shaving him before she took the first cut with the blade to shave, nevertheless since the first shave was done she could have shaved his head after making the mistake so he didn't look ridiculous with a bald spot on the top of his head! I DO NOT RECOMMEND TAKING YOUR PETS TO GEDDES GROOMED BECAUSE THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE ANIMAL THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT GETTING THEM IN AND OUT AND GETTING PAID!
