We needed assistance in expanding our insurance from a short term rental to a long term rental and needed to change cars and add coverage. We could not have done this without the assistance of Andrea. She was helpful able to accommodate us so that we did not have to come back and resent the same car and all with such a professional and lovely demeanour. What an asset to the company. LAX is far from my favorite place, and I've had many car rental experiences that contributed to that. Alamo is the exception. We didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes for the shuttle, and the driver was especially friendly and helpful. I was expecting the check-in line to be a madhouse, because that's what I've experienced at other well-known agencies, but it wasn't! The process was so smooth & painless. The cars were in good shape and returning the car was equally a breeze. I will never rent at another agency if I fly into LAX.

I was going to L.A. for 2 days. The rate I received online at about $13 per day, total with taxes, without any additional insurance, but adding in those mandatory airport or Los Angeles fees to help them build the staple center came to a total of a very reasonable $45 for the two days total. I received a quick service, my choice of vehicles in the classified selected, compact, a clean car, and when I turned it in I was able to be on a bus with in a minute or two of pulling the car into the slot. The parking lot attendant and to be read receipt for the exact amount I expected. I could not have asked for better service, and have used alible several times in the past including at the LAX terminal i've never had anything but excellent service there.

I love this place! This was my first time renting from them and I got the exact car that I wanted. Go off the plane, waited for the shuttle bus for about 3-5 mins and was there in and out. The kiosk wouldn't read my ID, so I was told to go over to customer service and I was in an out. My Dodge Challenger came right out 5 mins later fresh out the car wash! Dropping it off was easy as pie and they didn't over charge me. Next time I go any where I am renting from Alamo! Thanks for making my vacation awesome!!

My experience was pleasant. Thankfully when I arrived I was able to get my car without any hassle. The car was nice and clean. I would recommend this company to anyone.

I have been sent multiple EMAILs to rate my experience by Alamo, so I am doing as they ask. THIS WAS AN AWEFUL experience from start until now, nearly two weeks later.



When we arrived at the facility, despite having a reservation and filling out the information so that I could "Go directly to my car" there was a line wrapping around the parking garage. When I asked what the line was for, I was told to wait in it to get my car. How long will that take asked I... about 45 minutes said they. It actually took an hour and 7 minutes to be exact to get my car. I rent from their parent company national a lot for work, and there was nothing that they could do either, and in fact there were people waiting up there as well. The staff was stressed, and I cut them some slack for that as well, however, they were also rude and said things like, "we have no cars, what do you want us to do." See, your job, when you took my reservation, was to have cars, and to give one to me... That is what I wanted you to do.



While in line, almost two weeks ago, I called to complain to Alamo corporate. I left all of the information and asked that someone call me back to discuss my options. It has been TWO WEEKS and I have received NO CALL at all. I did, in their defense get an EMAIL saying that they would give me a free rental day, but I said I wanted to talk to someone...NOTHING.



This is totally unacceptable behavior. 1. They wasted over an hour of my vacation and made me late for an event... 2. They were RUDE, 3. They are still RUDE and clearly don't care that they have an angry customer.



Overall, I would NEVER RENT HERE>>> I would still change this if someone would call me back, and have an adult discussion about what happened.

I was very happy with there service I even got a free upgrade

We had a family vacation in LA with family and rented a car through Alamo at LAX airport. The experience was excellent. The pickup was quick and we got to the Alamo in no time. Got through checking process very quickly and we were on our way in 15 minutes (includes getting to the car and loading luggage). One thing to note, machines for self-checking would not scan IL driver's license. We had to check-in with customer service.



Car was clean, full of gas and ready to go. The best part, we got to choose which car we wanted to drive from the category we paid for. We reserved Premium and had a choice of Toyota Avalon, Chevy Impala, Chrysler 300M and some Buick. All cars had leather and were almost brand new. We chose Toyota Avalon.



Return was super easy as well, just drove in, unloaded luggage and ourselves, got the receipt and went our way. Total was about 3 minutes. The buses to take us to the gates were already waiting for us and we got to our terminal in about 15 minutes considering major traffic in the airport.



At the end we only paid 93 dollars (6 dollars less than when we reserved) for 5 days rental. Would I rent again? I would not rent from other ever again. Best experience ever!!!

Alamo LAX is the best rental place in my opinion. There aren't long waits because they have kiosks that are easy to use and will have you in and out in less than 10 mins. Their customer service is great as well. I recommend everyone to go to Alamo because they're better than any rental car place in the area.

The actual rental experience was typical. If your rental has no problems you might think they are fine. At midnight in the Disneyland parking lot our car would not start. We called alamo and they said they would send a taxi but we would have to pay and try to get reimbursed later. After arguing about that they agreed to pay the taxi. After over an hour, the taxi arrived, I waved to it got out of the rental and the taxi pulled away without waiting for us. After a 40 minute phone call they called another taxi for us. We finally got back to our hotel at 4:30 am. Half of the next day of our vacation was ruined since we were so tired. No offer from Alamo to adjust the rental fee. Thanks a lot.

Smooth experience! The shuttle picked us up right away when we got outside the airport terminal. The driver was very professional and personable. We used the self check-in kiosk. There was a great choice of vehicles. We dropped off at the John Wayne Airport without a hitch or problem. Smooth experience all around! We will be using this service again!

Very easy setup. It was a little hectic when we arrived that afternoon. We used the self portal to check in and did have an issue entering our credit card that we wanted to use, not sure why, but it required an extra step at the drop-off. Overall we were pleased and will use again!

My family and I recently rented at Alamo in LAX and our inbound and return experiences were both extremely negative. Upon arrival to the agency, we had a coupon to redeem from a previous bad experience which no one wanted to honor....besides, at nearly midnight, there was a line of nearly 30 customers needing additional accommodations, and of course there were not enough agents available to assist. Once we returned the vehicle, we missed our original flight due to a 45 minute wait for the shuttle...which by the way does not include the 12 minutes we had to sit through all of the other airline customer drop-offs. Alamo must do a much better job of creating/enhancing a full positive experience for their customers.

The car was good the service was ok but be aware to bring the car back with full tank gas or they charge you 50% over the average gas price. Yes, 50% more. can you believe it??

Wonderful experience beginning to end. Friendly customer service, great gas mileage and comfortable ride (Toyota Tercel). Great rates after much comparison. The shuttle from LAX to Alamo took a while but was grateful for the service. I will always use Alamo and recommend this to my friends as well.
