I think this place saved my life. Seriously, I was driving around in my 2007 Audi A4 for over a year-exposed to carbon monoxide. I mentioned I smelled exhaust to the dealer. They told me everything was fine. About 8 months later, I was really dragging-so tired and my brain just wasn't working right. Around then my car began to sound like a lawnmower. I took it to the dealer; they told me to take it to a muffler repair shop. I knew who to see- the people at USM Discount Muffler, near where I used to work, across from the bus terminal in Danbury. The owner (Hos) is always on site, supervising work, making sure customers are well taken care of, 7 days a week. I called late Friday afternoon and he said to bring it in the next morning, leave it overnight (I had to go out of town for the day) and pick it up on Sunday morning, no problem. Dropping the car off was easy, they put my care into one of the bays. Kept it there overnight, safe and sound. While waiting for my ride, I watched the mechanic work on cars, trucks, and vans. Quite talented at welding, working quickly and accurately. A real pro. When I picked up the car, the owner showed me exactly where they done repairs- my exhaust system was worse than I thought, but didn't need complete replacement; both flex pipes needed replacement.

The difference was immediately noticeable. No more noise; my head felt clearer. Gradually my energy level increased; I feel back to my old self.

The shop was clean, organized. Waiting room is nothing special but clean and fine for waiting if you need to do that. Price was awesome, really good deal-only 395$ (parts and labor). Service was friendly, courteous, prompt. Quality of work was excellent. I definitely recommend USM Discount Muffler for any exhaust system work.

If you are driving around in a vehicle more than 5 years old, you should definitely get the people at USM Discount Muffler to check your exhaust system- it could save your life!

The BEST shop experience I ever had. I was a little skeptical when they said well just put it on the lift and take a look. Now I'm a captive, I thought. I have a Subaru and the exhaust are big bucks. This guy says it's an easy repair. He cuts out the bad joint, makes a new section, welds it in, makes a new hanger welds that on. Better than new! Than... holy Sh...t The bill.. $40 bucks. Any place else would charge that to wheel the welder over to the car. I'm done doing my own exhaust.
