Wawa’s credit card machine was down during my visit. The cashier was the phone, and did not acknowledge the customers waiting to be service. The cashier had stated the credit machine would take 10 minutes to reboot. I and other customers had to wait in a long line again due to the same above issues with the cashier. Finally, a manager came over to get the cashier off the phone. My credit card was ran during the time Wawa’s card machine was rebooting. After the machine rebooted, the cashier re-swipe the credit card. The credit card was decline, the purchase deleted, and I paid cash.



The next day, I had a charge on my account for $55.00. I call the store twice that day before I was able to speak with the new manager. The new manager on duty had informed me to call Wawa's corporate office. The information given to me by this manager was not true. I had a similar situation with Wawa before, and the manager had taken care of the issue that same day. The manager at the above location was not helpful and she was rude.

I had spoken to a supervisor at Wawa's corporate office (call center); she had stated to me that the $55.00 charge was due an authorization fee. According to the corporate office supervisor, consumers would have the above charge regardless if his/her credit is ran inside the store or at the gas pump. This information given by the supervisor was not true. I have always had my credit card ran inside the store, and I have never been charge a fee. The fee is only charge at the gas pump. I have stated to the corporate office that my credit card was swiped inside the store, and not at the gas pump. Wawa’s corporate supervisor had stated I would have to wait for the authorization fee to drop off my account (which tied up my funds). I would not recommend this location or any Wawa stores to any consumer due to this irritation. This location and their corporate office were very unprofessional and not helpful.
